[ mood | hopeful ]

Wow...it has been a long, long time. So much has changed, I don't even know where to begin! I will update here whenever I can. I'm very glad to see livejournal is still here. It's good to see that some things don't change. Talk to you later, ether.

Check out MySpace [25 Apr 2006|07:13pm]
[ mood | anxious ]

Hey everyone,
I guess anybody who reads this already knows, but I'm on MySpace. Come check out my profile if you haven't already. I have actually been spending most of my time on there lately; it's pretty freakin' addictive. Anyway, I should probably keep my LiveJournal updated as well. Sigh...so much to do in this modern world. Maybe somebody like Snake Plissken can come along and change things like he did in "Escape from L.A." That was a good movie. I've gotta go now; I have to check my profile at MySpace. Good Day.

Hello Amanda. I'm just here in the computer lab and decided to write you a quick note. I enjoyed the article you sent to me...I'll have to keep in mind. I'll talk to you tomorrow.

P.S. I'm playing poker tonight! I love poker!

Almost done! [23 Mar 2006|02:33pm]
[ mood | relieved ]

Hey everybody
I'm taking my Calculus final today, and then I'm done! For a whole week! It will be great to spend time with Amanda, and my work schedule was finally put into stone, so now I've got a set schedule. It will be nice to not have my body wore out from having a screwed-up sleep schedule. We are probably going to see "V for Vendetta" sometime next week, and I can't wait to see the last X-Men film; it looks badass!! So do I dare ask what everyone else is doing, on the off chance that someone might actually read my journal?

A Bit Of Both

You are 50% Calvin and 50% Hobbes
Calvin & Hobbes, like a scruffy yin and yang, are in perfect balance within you. Like Calvin, you're weird, a bit insecure, and can be a trouble-maker. But like Hobbes, you're down to earth and sensitive. It's a risk to say it here, after just a ten question test, but I'll bet you're smarter than most. Both Calvin and Hobbes are crafty, clever characters, and any one made from equal parts of each is a force to be reckoned with.

KORN. KORN! KORN!! KORN!!! I saw Korn on Sunday! It was awesome! I'm still excited about it; and it's two days later. I can say without a doubt that it was the best concert I've ever been to. The energy level in the Tacoma Dome was absolutely incredible. They played a long set too, which was great, because they were able to play their new songs and their old songs. A kick-ass time!!!

Smother me in gravy [02 Mar 2006|01:38pm]
[ mood | complacent ]

Hi everyone! Well, I guess just Amanda; she's the only one who likes me anymore. So from now on, I'm just writing to Amanda and the rest of you big-city liberals can just mind your own business! Ha! I sure told you...but wait, if it's only Amanda who reads this, how will they know that I just insulted them? Darn it to heck.

So how are you feeling baby? Just try to drink lots of orange juice; it made me feel better. I wuv u. Wow. That sounded just like some douchebag teenager text messeging someone. Probably just like the people in your dorm! Have a good day.

Thinking of you
Love Chris

P.S. I prefer operating heavy equipment on heroin; acid just doesn't do it for me.

You Are Homer Simpson

You're just an ordinary, all-American working Joe...

With a special fondness for pork rinds and donuts.

You will be remembered for: your little "isms" and philosophies on life

Your life philosophy: "Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals ... except the weasel."

[ mood | naughty ]

Hey Everybody. I'm just sitting here in the computer lab, being a little bored. But wait, over the horizon, I spot something. It's got long brown-reddish hair, lovely lips, and gorgeous blue eyes. It's Amanda! I get to see her tomorrow! Yayy!! I can't wait. I'm really excited to be able to see her. Since she can't be here on Valentine's Day, we're going to have our own Valentine's Day on Saturday. Kind of amazing; this is our second Valentine's Day together! I'm so excited I think I might throw up!

Vat ist Shlonge? [02 Feb 2006|11:59am]
[ mood | content ]

Hello everybody. Amanda kept pestering me to update, so I finally broke down and did it. I have been busy the past two months with the usual. You know; life, the universe, and everything. I've had some good times, some bad times, some personal triumphs, and some personal tradgedies, but I've just kept on trucking. I have finally decided to go to Central Washington University in the fall; Amanda is kind of upset, but I think I'll do much better at Ellensburg than at Monmouth. I guess we'll see! I'm still playing a lot of Texas Hold'Em, and getting better and better all the time. I also starting running again with my friend Nathan. He is going into law enforcement, and I just need to get back into shape. I am at 210 pounds at the moment, and my goal is to be at at least 180 by August. Shouldn't be a problem, as I am also going to start doing calithentics as well. Basically, I'm doing my Marine Corps Physical Training again. Take care everybody.

Inspirational thought of the day: "I don't have to run faster than the bear, I just have to run faster than you."

Finals! Arghh!! [13 Dec 2005|10:39am]
[ mood | tired ]

I have my math final today, and my biology final on thursday, so these past two weeks have just been a blast! I also have Amanda staying with me for a few days, which isn't all bad, just a bit crowded. I have started searching for a new job, since I am getting really tired of my current one. Not the job itself, or the people that I work with, but my manager and my hours both suck. For some reason my dickhead of a manager hired on three new people, even though this is the slow season. As a result, my hours have taken a nosedive. So I will definitely be moving on to something else very soon. Oh well. One minimum wage job is the same as any other, right?

So how is everyone else?

A day off!!! [21 Nov 2005|12:41pm]
[ mood | happy ]

This is great; I've got a day off. We are readjusting the scheule at work, so for this week at least, I get Monday off. It's kind of nice since I have a biology test tomorrow. I can actually study! It was great getting to spend time with Amanda. We got to see "The Goblet Of Fire"; it was great! There were some things that they left out that I wanted to see, but they also included some stuff that I thought that they would leave out. The actors were great too. They just keep getting better and better as they get older. All in all, it was an excellent movie. I enjoyed going to Portland too; seeing where Amanda lives was kind of nice. It also made me realize that I could never live in a big city. No way in hell! Anyways, everybody take care, and I'll see you when I see you.

I don't think I'm agnostic [17 Nov 2005|10:55am]
[ mood | good ]

Just so you all don't get the wrong idea, I don't consider myself to be agnostic. I don't really believe in "The Big Three," but I do believe in some sort of Supreme Being. Actually, I believe in Gaia. I, for one, think that the Earth is alive, and that everything on it and in it are interconnected physically, emotionally, and spirtually. Now, I certainly don't have an answer for everything, but I do believe that it's possible that God, or Allah, or G-d, or whoever you believe in, is either in charge (meaning HE [or SHE] is Gaia) or at least is part of all this energy surrounding us. There is without a doubt a lifeforce that binds us all together, whether it be God or Gaia. And I certainly do care, one way or the other.

Not entirely accurate... [14 Nov 2005|06:38pm]
[ mood | anxious ]

You are Agnostic

You're not sure if God exists, and you don't care.
For you, there's no true way to figure out the divine.
You rather focus on what you can control - your own life.
And you tend to resent when others "sell" religion to you.

Interesting [01 Nov 2005|11:02pm]
You scored 64% Organization, 41% abstract, and 61% extroverted!
This test measured 3 variables.

First, this test measured how organized you are. Some muppets like Cookie Monster make big messes, while others like Bert are quite anal about things being clean.

Second, this test measured if you prefer a concrete or an abstract viewpoint. For the purposes of this test, concrete people are considered to gravitate more to mathematical and logical approaches, whereas abstract people are more the dreamers and artistic type.

Third, this test measured if you are more of an introvert or an extrovert. By definition, an introvert concentrates more on herself and an extrovert focuses more on others. In this test an introvert was somebody that either tends to spend more time alone or thinks more about herself.

You are somewhat organized, both concrete and abstract, and both introverted and extroverted.

I bet you didn't think you were Snuffleupagus. Let's find out why.

You are both somewhat organized. You have a good idea where you put things and you probably keep your place reasonably clean. You aren't totally obsessed with neatness though. Alloyius Snuffleupagus (and all Snuffleupagus') is not sloppy by nature, but he moves so incredibly slowly that it is impossible for him to be totally organized.

You both are about equally concrete and abstract thinkers. You have a good balance in your life. You know when to be logical at times, but you also aren't afraid to explore your dreams and desires... within limits of course. Snuffy generally has very basic interests, but he explores his abstract sensitive side when he plays his snuffleflute.

You both are somewhat introverted. Originally Snuffleupagus was very shy and was only Big Bird's invisible friend. However as he has aged he has started to build new friendships with new characters. Like Snuffy, you probably like to have some time to yourself. However, you do appreciate spending time with your friends, and you aren't scared of social situations.

The other possible characters are
Oscar the Grouch
Big Bird
Cookie Monster
Kermit the Frog
The Count
Guy Smiley

If you enjoyed this test, I would love the feedback! Also if you want to tell me your favorite Sesame Street character, I can total them up and post them here. Perhaps your choice will win!

You're a Gimlet! That's gin and lime juice. You're generally pretty traditional but you do like a bit of Thai food. You're most likely to be found in the corner of your local pub%2
